A scientific research report from Crypto.com shows that the total number of ETH holders increased by 263% from January to December 2022.

By the end of December, the total number of ETH investors had increased from 27 million in January to 87 million.

By comparison, the report shows that BTC (BTC) users increased by only 20%, from more than 183 million in January to more than 219 million in December.

Although the price of cryptocurrency continues to decline in 2022, the adoption rate of cryptocurrency continues to increase. The number of data encryption investors jumped from 306 million in January to 425 million in December, an increase of 39%.

Although ETH holders have grown rapidly in recent years, BTC holders still account for the majority, accounting for 52% of global cryptocurrency holders. At the same time, the report shows that ETH holders account for 20% of global cryptocurrency owners.

Scientific researchers stressed that the great growth of Ethereum holders is generally driven by the combination, which will transform Ethereum into equity proof internet. It added that the increasing popularity of ETH working capital and the increasing enthusiasm of its participants have also promoted the selection of the second largest cryptocurrency.
