On December 15 and 16, the first Web3 University Hacker Competition was held in Brazil. Nearly 50 speakers and tutors participated, which is also one of the largest hacker marathons held in Latin America so far. This activity gathered developers, influencers, university teachers, Web3 professionals and Gear team members to share their knowledge and work experience. The Gear elite team thinks that this activity is particularly important for bringing the next generation of developers to the Web3 industry, and is ready to organize this kind of theme activity again in the near future. More than 500 participants participated in the exchange meetings and speeches held by educators and well-known figures in the field of data encryption in Spain. The winners of the hacker marathon are the following elite teams: ITAM and "Blockchain Technology Essay", Tec de Monterey and "Network Voting Chain", UACAM and "Intelligent Cubic Meter", IPN ESCOM and "De intermediate Internet Technology", UP and "NFT Ticket Fees". The winners received a total of $12000.

The Hackathon also held a special event in which artists were invited to paint for different kinds of emotions, such as love, trust, randomness, intelligence and cats. This kind of work has become the first one in the collection of tokens (NFT) that Vara, which is established by applying the distinctive smart contract based on Gear Protocol technology, cannot replace. The contract includes the location, artist name, social media connection and other relevant information. The most special thing is that after six months, it will automatically give the next part to the artist who expects to contribute to the collection. This kind of artist should be required to write a painting under the same theme as the previous artist, so as to ensure that the collection will eventually become a beautiful painting garden showing outstanding talents from all over the world.

The "NFT Experience for Vara" series of products is a dynamic and rapidly developing art creation, and each new artist has made a distinctive contribution to the final result. The small details of each work, including the total number of works, design style, artist's name and writing address, are arbitrarily established in the blockchain technology of Vara test network. Smart contracts ensure that each addition of the collection is unique, and add unpredictable elements to the final crafts. On December 17, the first Gear Christmas themed trade fair was held in the BTC Embassy Nightclub in Auckland, where some NFTs from individual artists of Spanish wizards were exhibited.
