According to local news reports, the Ministry of Food of Indonesia initially planned to establish a national cryptocurrency exchange by the end of 2022, but the Ministry now aims to establish the exchange by June 2023.

As part of the reform and innovation of the United States House of Representatives in Indonesia based on strict regulation in December, the exchange has been established.

The Indonesian government is now checking the encryption exchange that will be part of our exchange. The results show that among the 25 exchanges registered by the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Authority, 5 dynamic exchanges have participated in the market competition.

Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Trade, said that these five exchanges should all be part of the Ministry's encryption exchange. Hassan added:

"Let's not rush, because it may not be ready, and things will become a mess. The government department doesn't want this to cause great harm to the people, so people don't know much about (crypto trading)."

The establishment of the encryption exchange was delayed because the Indonesian government suspended the issuance of a new encryption exchange license.

Hassan said that the recently revoked ban has led to accusations by some people, and in their view, the government departments unnecessarily "make things more and more difficult". But he added that the ban must be suspended to "eliminate the requirement".
