Kusens said: "Even though most fields focus on NFT, we find that BTC is the most popular blockchain technology property among game players compared with other cryptocurrencies including NFT.".

The survey also found that 55% of American players now have cryptocurrencies. The remaining 45% have BTC, ETH or Dogecoin.

Another survey released in July showed that one third of players expressed interest in using cryptocurrency in the concept of the meta universe. Players also showed a positive attitude towards the concept of P2E games. 40% of the players hoped to play games in the concept of meta universe and get benefits.
