Binance withdraws application for crypto license in Germany
German regulators had told Binance they would not grant it a crypto custody license, Reuters reported last month. "Binance still intends to apply for appropriate licensing in Germany, but it is essential that our submission accurately reflects these changes," the spokesperson added. The BaFin application withdrawal was first reported by CoinDesk.

Societe Generale obtains France's first crypto licence
French bank Societe Generale has become the first company in France to obtain a license for crypto services, as a growing number of mainstream financial companies embrace crypto globally this year. Societe Generale's crypto unit, Forge, is licensed as of Tuesday to offer services, including crypto custody, trading and sales, according to the website of France's AMF market regulator. The news was first reported by crypto outlet CoinDesk.
